The police force in Jose Abad Santos (JAS) town in Davao del Sur is still searching for the body of a man who was reportedly killed by his wife’s paramour and threw it to the sea on October 15.

Senior Police Officer 4 Nestor Branzuela, JAS police investigator identified the victim as Junnie Pablo, 35, a resident of Barangay (village) Caburan Big.
Branzuela said the case was brought out when the victim’s cousin Pepito Pablo lodged a complaint before the police that Junnie Pablo was missing since October 15.

The police summoned the wife Lalyn Yaco, 29, and placed her under interrogation where she broke down and confessed about her husband’s death.

Branzuela said Yaco allegedly admitted having an illicit relationship with Masulong.

She further alleged that Masulong was forced to kill Pablo using a bolo when the latter caught them in a compromising act on a farm at about 5 p.m. on October 15.

Yaco told police Masulong threw Pablo’s body to the sea after the incident.

A team of police personnel went to the crime scene and found traces of blood and what appeared to be strands of hair believed to be of Pablo.

Masulong was also arrested and currently under intensive police interrogation as to his involvement to the case.

Branzuela said Masulong would be brought to the provincial prosecutor in Digos City on Wednesday where appropriate charges would be filed against him in court.
