Cuesta was walking along the national highway in Barangay Lagao, General Santos City with his friend when motorcycle-riding gunmen shoot him.

Slugs wounded his feet, left arm, body and head.

He was reported to show signs of survival few days after doctors of St. Elizabeth Hospital successfully removed the slug that pierced his skull, but he died at about 3:45 p.m. on August 09.

The NBI is now handling Cuesta’s case.
