Malita village civilian volunteer gunned down

A member of the civilian volunteer organization (CVO) was gunned down in the village of Demoloc, Malita town in Davao del Sur on Wednesday.
Police Officer 2 Jeffrey Baguisan, Malita police investigator in his report sent to the provincial headquarters in Digos City said Angelito Calnipa, a farmer and CVO died from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
 
The police investigator said Canoto Mulan armed with a Garand rifle, together with his four sons shoot Calnipa at about 4 p.m. of August 13.
 
Authorities identified Mulan’s sons as Jessie, Joven, Matoy and Dogoy.
 
The suspects fled after the incident.
 
Baguisan recovered 4 empty casings of Caliber .30 ammunitions at the crime scene.
 
A long overdue debt sparked the bloody incident, the police report said.
