Cuesta to be transported to Digos City, today

Radio Mindanao Network (RMN-General Santos City) program director and anchorman Dennis Cuesta who was shot on Monday and died inside the hospital at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday is set to be transported to in this city this afternoon.

Roniel Degorio, a close friend and practicing journalists in General Santos City said scores of media personalities in the city would be escorting the hearse that will transport the body of the fallen broadcaster to his home at Roxas Extension, Barangay San Miguel, Digos City.

 

Officers and members of media organizations in Davao del Sur will be wearing black t-shirts as they prepare to meet their fallen comrade.

 

Cuesta, 38, started his career in Digos City at UMBN-DXDS (now Radyo-Ukay Digos) before he was employed as a field reporter of Bombo-Radio Philippines in Davao del Sur.

 

He transferred to RMN-DXDC in Davao City as field reporter for Davao del Sur before he was promoted to program director and anchorman of a primetime public affairs program (Straight to the point) in General Santos City where he was shot by still unidentified gunman on August 04.

 

Cuesta, 38, is survived by his wife, Gloria and six children.
