A widower loss her life in fighting against a thief who barged into her house in the middle of the night and took her gold earrings.
This was the theory of the investigators to the murder of Angelina Datulayta, a 62-year old widower of Sitio Alibangog, Barangay Tubalan, Malita, Davao del Sur on Sunday evening.
Senior Police Officer 3 Ramon Iballo, officer-on-case said Datulayta sustained contusions at the left side of her body inflicted from a blunt object, while three of her fingers bore slash wounds.
Iballo said when relatives discovered the victim’s body inside her house, the earrings she frequently wore was already gone.
The police could not determine if there are only one or two attackers during the heist.
Iballo, in a police report said they are trying to establish the identity of the suspect and the real motive behind the death of the widower.
