A 19-year old mugger wanted for thief and murder charges fell into the hands of Jose Abad Santos police after beating his neighbors on Tuesday night.
Rodel Salisi y Talaid, a resident of Barangay Balangunan, Jose Abad Santos town was also caught in possession of a .38 caliber revolver, the police said.
Members of the village police (Barangay Tanod) arrested Salisi after brothers Janito and Adel Labiton complained the suspect boxed them.
When he was turned over to Senior Insp. Flaviano Orellano, Jose Abad Santos police chief it was found out that Salisi possessed a standing arrest warrant in Criminal Case No. 102-08 for qualified theft, and Criminal Case No. 17-07 for murder case before the Regional Trial Court in Digos City.
Senior Police Officer 2 Louie Tayong said those incidents transpired in Barangay Balangunan.
Tayong said Salisi will be facing additional case for illegal possession of firearms for his failure to show pertinent paper to carry a handgun.
Asorio Canacan, Balangunan councilor said Salisi is a known thug in the village.
He would be brought to the court in Digos City before he would be turnover to the provincial jail.
