A man killed his uncle due to a land dispute, while a member of the civilian volunteer organization (CVO) shot a 17 year old boy following a heated argument in a span of two days in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.
Leopoldo Diamona, 59, a resident of Sitio (sub-village) Bobong, Barangay (village) Balasiao, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur died on the spot due to 16 pellets that hit his body from a homemade 12-gauge shotgun.

Police Officer 2 Dave Parantar, Kiblawan police investigator identified the suspect as Jeber Diamona, nephew of the victim. He fled after the incident.

Parantar said the shooting incident that transpired on June 19 at about 1 p.m. was due to a long standing ancestral land dispute involving their respective families.

On the other hand, Rey Miranda, a resident of Barangay Bagong Silang, Kiblawan town sustained a gunshot wound in the body fired from an improvised single shot M-16 rifle (surit-surit) of a CVO member.

Police Officer 2 Dave Parantar identified the suspect as Jeffrey Mariscal.

Parantar said the incident took place at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The suspect also fled towards a still undetermined place.

Kiblawan police are currently searching for the whereabouts of Diamona and Mariscal to face their respective crimes.
