More or less 20 thousand member/consumers of Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative (Dasureco) flocked to the main office in Barangay Cogon, this city on Saturday and elected new set of officers for the board of directors to man the cooperative.
Governor Douglas Cagas acted as presiding officer during the conduct of the election through “people power” outside the perimeter of Dasureco to unseat the existing board of directors who continuously hold their positions under an “expired” term of office.

Governor Douglas Cagas who led more than ten thousand people in the protest action against the existing members of Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative (Dasureco) board of directors on November 3 is calling for a “people power” on Saturday.
Cagas who is apparently irked over the continuous disregard of Dasureco board members to resign from their respective position vowed to gather more than 50 thousand member/consumers of the electric cooperative on November 15. |

One hundred four pieces of assorted vintage bombs ready for detonation at the quarry site in Barangay Mahayahay, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur at noon of November 13. The various types of vintage bombs were transported from the Regional Office Explosives and Ordnance Unit (EODU-11) in Camp Catitipan, Davao City for disposal to avoid further damage and hazards. |

United States Navy explosives expert offered their assistance in detonating 104 assorted types of vintage bombs in Barangay Mahayahay, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur on November 13.
Senior Police Officer 4 Miguel Vicente, Jr., Region-11 Explosives and Ordnance Disposal Unit (EODU-11) team leader identified the foreign US Navy as EODW2 Eric Fisher and EODW2 Cob Brown.

Member/consumers of Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative, Incorporated (Dasureco) are set to join the march rally and to establish a picket line outside its office perimeter in Barangay Cogon starting on November 3 until its board of directors will step down from their post.
Governor Douglas Cagas criticized Dasureco board chairman Artemio Tajon and his members for using the writ of preliminary injunction the local court had issued as their shield to continuously cling on to their respective positions even if most of them are serving beyond the three term limit provided by National Electrification Administration (NEA). |

Senator Mar Roxas wanted MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) renegade commanders Umbra Kato and Bravo’s immediate arrest to give justice to those who are directly and indirectly affected by the continuous war in Central and North Cotabato.
“I pity on more than 500 thousand individuals who are still in the evacuation sites when the war between the military and the MILF rebels escalates due to the failure of the MOA-AD,” Roxas said over a live interview over Bombo-Radyo Davao on Tuesday morning. |

In just a few days ahead, the city police auxiliary force will be wearing a new type of uniform almost identical to what regular police officers are wearing.
Chief Inspector Anthony Padua, Digos City police chief said Mayor Arsenio Latasa has allocated the money to purchase the materials for the uniform that would provide a “new look” to more than twenty police auxiliaries in the city.
